Luis Vega Out of STFC 25

Luis Vega who was scheduled to face D.J Fuentes will not be fighting next month for the Featherweight title as he has been hit with the injury bug that has been going around. Vega suffered the injury against Chris Pecero last month in Corpus Christi. The injury at first was a a cut but later turned into an abscess which turned into an infection. To make matters worse, the 32 year old BJJ brown belt also suffered a dislocated rib in the same fight which can take up to six weeks to heal.

Scheduled to take Vega’s place against Fuentes is Fabian Saldivar(2-1) who last fought on STFC 24 while Fuentes last fought in 2011 for now the defunct UWF promotion against former Strikeforce fighter, Nick “The Ghost” Gonzalez.
