Bellator Notes

With the exception of UFC on FX 2, the month of March was pretty much UFC-free. Bellator came back and delivered some really great stuff. The best MMA fight in March was Bellator’s Patricky “Pitbull” Freire vs Lloyd Woodard. Awesome aggressive action with a nasty brutal finish. Patricky was the favorite in this tournament, so it was shocking to Woodard finish him off like that. For those of you that missed it, here is your chance to see it thanks to Bellator:

The most significant moment in the month of March for Bellator was Pat Curran knocking out Joe Warren several times in route to win the featherweight crown. It was a stoppage that practically everyone thought was way too late, let’s hope Warren makes a speedy recovery.

The most amusing Bellator moment was Eric Prindle vs Thiago Santos never having a definitive conclusion after three tries and Prindle becoming the tournament champion because Santos was overweight. It’s such a lame situation that it becomes amusing.

For those that have missed Bellator action, here are all the results for the month of March.
