Ferreira Suspended for 12 Months, Salidvar out of STFC 39, Gatica Boxing Moves Event

UFC fighter and Pharr native, Carlos Diego Ferreira has received a 12-month suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission for testing positive for Ostarine, which carries the same benefits as anabolic steroids. Ferreira made his case to the NAC but ultimately got no empathy and the ruling was made to suspend him till April 2017. This is a huge blow to Ferreira who returned to the win column after suffering his first back-to-back loses.

Former STFC featherweight champion, Fabian Saldivar, will not be displaying his skills as originally scheduled for STFC 39 on July 16th. Saldivar suffered an injury during training camp and rather then enter the cage injured, Saldivar is being cautious and looks to get back in the cage healthy.

Luke Flores has also been left without an opponent for his scheduled fight next week. No word yet who will be replacing his two previous opponents who pulled out.

Austin based promotion, Gatica Boxing, has rescheduled their show for a later date.
